Parts of Ocean Shore are elevated with amazing views of the ocean. New Brighton and South Golden Beach are mostly on flat land and close to the ocean. Marshalls Creek from the Brunswick river wanders through New Brighton. South Golden Beach is built either side of Yelgun Creek and borders the Billinudgel Nature Reserve.
